Vintage Etching by Jan Bertil Andersen

An eerie and unsettling etching entitled 'Väntarde' (Waiting) by Jan Bertil Andersson (b 1960). Signed and numbered 238/320. A great painter, draughtsman and graphic artist his work seeks to look deep into the human condition. Jan-Bertil himself grew up in Borås where his uncle, the well-known artist Sven Angborn, became his first teacher. He then studied at the Domen Art School from 1979-81 and at the Hovedskous Painting School from 1981-83, both in Gothenburg. He is represented in Nationalmuseum, Gothenburg Art Museum, Ystad Konstmuseum, Kristianstad Länsmuseum, Statens Konstråd.
