Erik was inspired by the landscape and coastlines of his native Skane County in Southern Sweden. Excellent use of colour with sweeping brushwork in this atmospheric landscape that draws the viewer deep into the scene. More gorgeous in the flesh! This work dates from the 1970s.

Persson (1918-1987) studied painting at the art school in Malmö and during longer stays in Copenhagen, France and Spain. Persson is represented at Malmö museum and Ystad's art museum.
