Tage Nilsson (1926 -1997) is a renowned Swedish painter (the final image shown is a self portrait). Nilsson studied with Isaac Grunewald in Stockholm (a leading and central name in the first generation of Swedish modernists) and in Paris with André Lhote (a cubist and then fauvist) and Othon Friesz (member of Les Fauves). He was awarded the Stockholm Culture Stipendium in 1961.
