Abstract Sculptural Oil Painting by Roland Fade

An extraordinary and brutalist sculptural oil painting by renowned British artist Roland Fade. Signed and dated 1972. It is made of sculpted plaster on board and painted with oils.

Fade was born in Norwich, England in 1939 and moved to Andalucia, Spain in 1969. He was something of a wild man, who enrolled in the Royal School of Art in Berkshire, leaving a year later without honours and without regret. He was a well known and respected figure in the town of Almuñécar's cultural scene until his death in 2017.
