Vintage Ercol Windsor Junior Stacking Chair
£200.00
These are rare original examples of an early Ercol design dating from the 1950s. These chairs, with model number 392, have low seats as they are a Junior model for children, however, would work well alongside a low, coffee or dining table. They have at some point been painted but the paint has worn away giving them a really cool, distressed and rustic farmhouse look.
The chairs are made of beech and elm wood. A striking feature of this chair is the classic Windsor wedge joint, where the leg of the chair goes right through the seat – a wedge is then inserted into a cut in the leg, forming a remarkably strong joint.
Dimensions: Height 69cm, Width 40cm, Depth 42cm, Seat Height 36cm.
